Do I need a static IP address?
No! Home Proxy includes dynamic DNS that automatically updates your domain whenever your IP changes. Works perfectly with residential internet connections.
What do I need to get started?
You need a domain name, a server capable of running Docker (Unraid, Synology, TrueNAS, Proxmox, or any Linux machine), and the ability to forward ports 80 and 443 on your router.
Is my traffic routed through your servers?
No. We only manage DNS and configuration. Your actual traffic goes directly to your home server - we never see it. The Home Proxy container runs entirely on your hardware.
What happens if Home Proxy goes down?
Your services keep running! The Traefik container on your server operates independently. You just won't be able to make configuration changes through our dashboard until we're back online.
Can I use my own domain?
Absolutely. Bring any domain you own. We'll guide you through the DNS verification process and handle all the SSL certificate provisioning automatically.
